Book a biometric appointment through VFS Global's Hungary UK portal. Optional paid add-ons include SMS updates, courier passport return and prime-time slots. The Embassy does not take walk-ins for Schengen visas.
Book early for summer travel and note the operation is cashless - card or postal order only, with the consular fee paid at the appointment rather than in advance.
Hungarian short-stay processing in the UK moved from direct embassy submission to VFS Global on 24 February 2025, so older guidance pointing to the Embassy counter is out of date.
